The “Calcium aluminum silicon nitrogen red phosphor of LCD backlight” project won the Nanjing Innovation Fund for Technology Based Firms.

The Nanjing Innovation Fund for Technology Based Firms, with the purpose of innovation and industrialization and guided by the market, focuses on supporting the development and industrialization of some key technologies in eight areas, such as electronic information and new materials, and give priority to supporting enterprises in their technological innovation activities such as original innovation, integrated innovation, digestion and absorption and re-innovation, and at the same time, foster and strengthen the industrialization of science and technology-based project.

The project has developed a new solid-state synthesis method at normal pressure and high temperature, which is suitable for industrial production. The high efficiency silicon nitride red phosphor can realize high efficiency emission of main wavelength, and meet the requirements of red color purity and color saturation of LCD LED backlight effectively. Based on the lab test, the project plans to design and develop matching process flow, develop special auxiliary equipment, optimize key process control parameters, develop key technologies for supporting industrialization, and lay a foundation for subsequent large-scale production.
